Finance Manager (Philippines)
The Finance Manager will be responsible for ensuring that corporate financial objectives are achieved by implementing, maintaining and improving systematic and disciplined financial, accounting, tax compliance and fiscal governance processes and controls in the company.
This dynamic role requires a strong analytical background and experience in international financial accounting and management. The successful candidate will possess a solid command of U.S. GAAP and locally equivalent accounting standards and tax compliance requirements, the current and emerging regulatory environments, issues and company practices in the region, and the ability to provide a solid leadership role.
This individual will serve as a key corporate partner working with U.S. headquarters and business partners to expand the company’s business and ensure appropriate financial returns. Critical Success Factors will include strong “roll-up-your-sleeves” approach to problem solving, multi-tasking and prioritization abilities in order to administer the financial needs within the country.
This person will also be responsible for administering HR functions for the local office and ensuring staff compliance to company policy. They will carry out the processes and procedures established by Corporate HR in accordance with local and state law.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
None initially but eventually may oversee Accounting Assistant
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Include the following; other duties may be assigned as necessary:
- Provide financial analysis and reporting for the month end closing and monthly forecast processes for the both balance sheet and P&L statements
- Handle AP/AR duties
- Work closely with the external auditors to resolve open issues and compile information requests
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams
- Help the Country Manager to implement company policies and operating procedures
- Administer HR processes and procedures
- Work with International HR regarding staffing, policies, employee relations, and terminations
- Update Finance and HR related project/work progress in a weekly report to Country Manager and HQ Finance
- Monitor expenses and recommend cost improvements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5-7 years of experience in hands-on and analytical/management roles
- Excellent business sense - budgeting, business planning and forecasting skills
- Strong knowledge of Oracle is required (prefer 3 – 5 years experience)
- International experience
- Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Ability to work under pressure and with concurrent deadlines
- Extensive experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word especially)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting (MBA or advanced degree desired.
